A. Morally good under all circumstances
SURFING THE INTERNET
Surfing the Internet is considered morally good under all circumstances If you surf the net, it doesn’t mean that you are focusing only to the social network like Facebook, Twitter and much more. Surfing the net is like going to library, I mean searching for your assignment or research work. In library, we search books through reading and getting some good ideas about our research, but sometimes we are not satisfied for it. In the Internet, we browse the net to find out more satisfying ideas that can fill up what's bothering in our curious minds. In net, you can find out many good and satisfying answers in our research for a specific topic. And also, while surfing the net, you can learn anything.
B. Morally bad under all circumstances
PORNOGRAPHY
C. Morally good/bad under all circumstances
SOFTWARE PIRACY
Software Piracy is considered good/bad under all circumstances. Copying asoftware using is very easy but if you are the owner of that software and they just copied it without authorization? Are you happy? Of course not! But in every rule, there is always an exemption. In school, if you have a laboratory session and you need to install a software, of course you will all not buy that software instead sharing the software to install is good.
very well discussed mac mac.. we can learn from it. =))
ReplyDeletewow so we both consider software piracy as either good and bad. hehe. it just truly depends on then purpose actually. hehe
ReplyDeletein using computer, there are always good and bad. If you think this things are good and bad, then I respect your opinion.
ReplyDeletei agree with u mon and mac. i believe we can determine whether something is morally good or bad basing from the purpose and the benefit it would bring.
ReplyDeleteUsers should learn a lot about using computers first (what is good(ethical) and bad(immoral)) before she/he will be exposed.
ReplyDeletei dont think so haha sometimes its bad also haha
ReplyDeleteIt depends on how we understand a thing(Morally good/bad)...according to what I've read (http://www.overcomingbias.com/2011/07/beware-morality-porn.html )watching porn is not objectively or inherently wrong. Porn has been around for thousands of years and, if we survive that long as a species, will be around for thousands more, whether we like it or not. Behaving as though porn is real might be and can be wrong. But people need to take responsibility for their own choices, actions and the consequences thereof. Porn doesn't screw people. People screw people.
ReplyDeleteNice One ^^
haha I dont think surfing the net is morally good at all times. Your example is to general to consider because as you surf the net doesn't mean you are already in a right way. People don't think the same way, one might surf to do important thnigs like research, gathering data, etc. and other might do malicious things e.g. watching porn, to plagiarize, etc..
ReplyDeleteI also agree with what reina, mon and mac...We can just determine an action if it is morally good/bad based on one's purpose or the benefit for us as a user.
ReplyDeletewe really need to know the activities we should avoid so that we can avoid computer crimes..
ReplyDeletePORNOGRAPHY is morally good all the time...Porn sites must accept viewers whose age is greater than 18 ...
ReplyDeleteWe are already old enough to know what is right and wrong.
ReplyDeleteAs they've said, it really depends on the purpose.
