What Predominates in the World of Computing

For me, the ARISTOTLE'S NICOMACHEAN ETHICS predominate in the world of computing. First let's define the theory.  According to www.nd.edu/~afreddos/courses/180/nicomach.htm, “Every art and every inquiry, and similarly every action and choice, is thought to aim at some good.”  What is the chief good we aim at? The answer is Happiness and that is Happiness is the complete and sufficient good for a human being.  Or Happiness is simply the pleasure, which refers to the physical enjoyment. In a Computing World, Hacking is much known worldwide and in every nation. Some examples are hacking of password, hacking some information of a System and there are such more… Why do they hack? It’s their freedom and they can do whatever they want and of course for pleasure. For them, it’s pleasurable and they can be benefited. They hack because of Money and Money = Happiness.

  2. We have the same thought MacMac. and also hackers have a freedom and they can do whatever they want and because of pleasure. The Hackers hack because of money, and money will get them happy ^_^..

  5. you think money=happiness? i'm sorry but i have to disagree. it's already a cliche but i'll say it anyway, money can't bring happiness. well i respect your opinion but i just want to utter my perception. a person living with infinite number of money can never be happy and i'm certain about that.

  6. In reality MONEY dominates the world but in some instance MONEY itself, someday it'll not make an individual happy anymore because she/he will realize that people around you, that LOVE you are the reasons why you're still surviving in this crowded world.

  7. I think you misunderstood my post rein..I'm not saying that money=happiness for all people. The hackers are happy if they can hack, because if they can hack, they can get money. So their happiness is money. Not all people

  8. i agree with you mac. it not that all money bring happiness but money can buy you happiness.

and for ms. rein, you disagree that money=happiness. ask yourself, are you happy with your shoes? bag? dress? bracelet? YES.(if no, your just being to good to be true). because that's the reality my friend.

  9. money is a raw material meaning temporary, happiness if a feeling and when you say feeling it is an intra-personal relationship that can not be stolen by someone. So if you are comparing money and happiness that is not a good practice because they are not the same. You cannot say a person who has money is happy compared to a person who hasn't none.
